3GUPLOAD.com - SCAM WARNING
I signed up for 3GUPLOAD.COMs unlimited service on Oct. 31, 2003 for $5.99. I used it off and on till one day the site prompted me to pay again. I contacted 3gupload, but they are closed weekends so I posted a message on their bulletin boards and asked why I had to pay when I already paid for lifetime unlimited downloads. Another user quickly responded that 3guploads had changed the plan I had signed up for, and they were no longer honoring the plan I had, and that I now must pay every couple of months.

I was stunned as that wasn’t what I paid or signed up for, but a moderator immediately deleted the posters response and told me to check the FAQs. After checking the FAQs (I had already done this to get 3guploads number) I responded that nothing covered my topic of “Paying for unlimited service and having it removed”. The moderator told me to look at the Terms of Service (which I already had) and said that they can change the plans, service, or cost at any point in time. I totally understand that plans change and prices go up however most companies have something called grandfathered plans for these scenarios to honor old agreements.

So here I am today locked out of what I rightfully paid for with a warning to any current 3gupload users or any prospective users.

3GUPLOAD doesn’t care about you as a paying customer and like me may remove your service and demand more money at any point in time.

While I hope they don’t continue this bad practice of getting users to sign up at a decent rate and then demanding more payment you have been warned.
